Banks County Schools was recognized at the Georgia School Public Relations Association with three awards, including Gold Awards for Best Website and Best Social Media. The district also earned Best in Category for the video “Once a Leopard, Always a Leopard,” which received a perfect score from judges. These achievements align with the district’s Strategic Plan, which emphasizes strong communication, community engagement, and celebrating student success.

Banks County teachers recently visited the ClearTouch Experience Center in South Carolina as part of the district’s Smartboard professional development initiative focused on improving classroom engagement and achievement. The visit supported the district’s Strategic Plan to strengthen instructional strategies, technology integration, and collaboration among educators. Teachers participated in hands-on sessions exploring new tools and techniques to enhance interactive learning across classrooms.

Lana Cannon, Banks County High School’s Teacher of the Year, has been named the 2025–2026 Banks County School System Teacher of the Year.

Congratulations to Banks County students and staff on a standout 2024–2025 year, marked by rising literacy, strong Milestones and EOC results across grades, a 92.7% graduation rate, AP success, and BCMS’s Title I Reward School honor.

Banks County Schools has partnered with Mr. Daniel Tran, owner of Culver’s at Banks Crossing, to launch the Roaring Rookie of the Month award for first-year teachers. Congratulations to Mrs. Maggie Spear, 1st-grade teacher, for being named the very first honoree and receiving a special meal from Culver’s in recognition of her hard work.

Banks County Primary School will host a Title 1 Parent Informational Meeting on Monday, October 20th, from 5:30-6:00 PM.

Banks County Golf Team will host a Parent Junior Golf Tournament on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
