Banks County Primary School is excited to welcome our newest Little Leopards—the Class of 2039. Kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year will take place from March 16 to March 20.

The Banks County High School Literary Team earned runner-up honors at the Region 8-A Division I Literary Competition, finishing second overall against regional competition. Individual Results include:

Help A Smile will be visiting Banks County Schools this spring to provide convenient dental care for students during the school day. Families can complete the online consent form ahead of time so students can be scheduled for services while Help A Smile is on campus.

Congratulations to our Banks County High School Class of 2026 Honor Graduates!

Banks County High School FFA students recently traveled to the Georgia State Capitol to commemorate FFA Day, joining chapters from across the state to celebrate agricultural education, leadership, and service.

As we are facing the potential for inclement weather, we would like to take this opportunity to share our inclement weather plan as a reminder and clarification of procedures in the event they need to be used in the coming days. Please know we are continually monitoring conditions with state and local officials. If we are experiencing inclement weather, a determination and notification regarding school on Monday will be sent out on Sunday evening.

Banks County Schools has named Chuck Butler as the new principal of Banks County Middle School after seven years of service at BCMS as an assistant principal.

At the January Board of Education meeting, we recognized students for outstanding achievement, including top Georgia Milestones scorers and spelling bee winners from Banks County Elementary School and Banks County Middle School. District spelling bee winners were Jackson Chapman, District Winner, and Parker Grogan, System Runner-Up.
