Anthony Seabolt: Vice Chair

Mr. Seabolt assumed Post 1 on January 1, 2013. He has been a lifelong resident of Banks County and graduated from Banks County High School in 1987. Mr. Seabolt is self-employed. His children graduated from Banks County Schools, and he currently has grandchildren enrolled in Banks County Schools. He has actively supported the community in numerous ways, including volunteering his time at events and generously providing supplies to support various programs and initiatives.

Mr. Reems assumed Post 2 on January 1, 2025. He is a lifelong resident of Banks County. Reems graduated from Banks County High School in 2001. Reems attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, specializing in Animal Science with Honors. Professionally, Reems serves as Vice President with NAI Brannen Goddard Commercial Real Estate. With a rich background of 26 years in Animal Agriculture, he continues to farm in a limited scope. Reems is married to Brittney Reems, and they have four children. Two of their children are enrolled in Banks County Schools, and their youngest will join the 2025-2026 school year. Reems has been actively involved with the Banks County Farm Bureau since 2016. He currently holds the role of President and has served as director since 2016.

Dr. Mark Stroud: Chair

Dr. Mark Stroud assumed Post 3 on January 1, 2019. Dr. Stroud has lived in Banks County for over 25 years. His wife, Amy Stroud, and their two sons, Riley and Carter, are all graduates of Banks County High School, and he has two nieces who are currently attending Banks County Schools. Over the past 17 years, he has served the Banks County Schools in various capacities, including being a governance council member at the Banks County Middle School and Banks County High School, booster club president for the football and baseball programs, as well as other volunteer positions before joining the Board of Education in 2019. Dr. Stroud is the longtime Pastor of Wahoo Baptist Church in Murrayville, GA.

Mr. Maney assumed Post 4 on January 1, 2025. Maney graduated from Banks County High School in 1998. He attended the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accounting. He has been a CPA since 2005 and has worked in public accounting since graduating from college in 2003. Maney has been a partner at Amos Maney & Payne CPAs, LLC in Baldwin, Georgia, since 2009. Maney is also a co-owner of PayCo, Inc., located in Baldwin, Georgia. Maney has been married to his wife, Tasha, since 2004. They have a son, Tyson (sophomore), and a daughter, Tenley (freshman), at Banks County High School. Maney has been a volunteer recreation department coach and mentor at Banks County Elementary and Banks County Middle School. He is a current member of the Habersham Kiwanis Club. He and his family are members of Tates Creek Baptist Church. Maney enjoys spending time with his family on their farm, hunting and playing golf, watching his kids grow up, and being active in his children's sports.

Mr. Cooper assumed Post 5 in May 2024. Mr. Cooper graduated from Banks County High School in 2001. He attended Athens Technical College and studied architectural and mechanical drafting. Cooper began his career at Classic Powder Coating, eventually becoming the business manager in 2008 and buying half of the business in 2017. He has been the sole operator and manager since then. Cooper married his wife Ashley in 2005. They have three children, all attending or set to attend Banks County schools: Cam, a high school senior involved in sports; Tenley, a middle school softball player; and Emersyn, a pre-kindergarten student. Cooper's dedication to the community includes extensive volunteer work, including coaching at the Banks County Recreation Department, Banks County High School, and founding the nonprofit "Country Wide Baseball," He also led the USA wrestling program for Banks County High School from 2010 to 2018.
