Banks County High School Governance Meeting has been rescheduled to October 24th.

Banks County Elementary School introduced a new initiative known as the "Shout Out Box" to celebrate our teachers. The initiative can be attributed to the collaborative efforts of the dedicated School Governance Team at BCES.

This school year, Banks County Schools launched an initiative to strengthen student achievement in our schools. The system will spotlight several teachers who demonstrate exceptional best practices and student success.

Our first Spotlight teacher is Mrs. Stephanie Kinsey from Banks County Middle School.

Several athletes were given special recognition during the recent board of education meeting. These athletes demonstrated outstanding performance in a Banks County Olympics program last May. The board expressed their pride in the athletes' abilities and praised their dedication to their sport. The athletes were presented with certificates of achievement.

Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins recently met with teachers who will serve on the Superintendents Advisory Council (SAC) for the 2023-2024 school year.

"The idea of a SAC is an initiative that brings educators together in a forum where their voices can be heard. It provides a direct pipeline for our teachers to offer suggestions and perspectives on educational issues occurring in our schools", stated Hopkins.

The Banks County School system is thrilled to reveal the outstanding educators selected as the Teacher of the Year and Classified Person of the Year at each school. These teachers and staff members have demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and passion for education, significantly impacting our students' lives.
