District administrators spent the past week making surprise visits to campuses across the county to officially announce the 2026–2027 Teachers of the Year and Support Staff Members of the Year.
Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins and Deputy Superintendent Michael Williams joined school leaders to personally greet each recipient and celebrate their outstanding dedication to the students of Banks County.
"We are incredibly proud of our Teachers and Support Staff Members of the Year," Dr. Hopkins said. "Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to our students represent the very best of our school system."

All school-level honorees will be formally recognized this October during the annual system recognition banquet. The district will also reveal the overall Banks County District Teacher of the Year, who will represent the school system in the Georgia State Teacher of the Year competition.
