The 2025 Pioneers in Education Awards were held on November 14, 2025 at The Venue at Cenita Vineyards. These awards are held each year by Pioneer RESA. These awards honor individuals who go above and beyond every day to support our students and staff. To be a "Pioneer in Education" is not to strive to be the best in the world, but to strive to what is best for the world.
This year's recipient is Mrs. Nancy Bentley, former Special Education Director at Banks County Schools. Bentley retired last year after many years of service in Banks County Schools. Known for her unwavering advocacy for students, she worked alongside teachers and families to ensure students received the support, encouragement, and opportunities they deserved. Congratulations, Nancy Bentley!
