Banks County Schools was honored to welcome the Banks County Rotary Club last week as members toured our Food 2 Kids program and the food pantries established at each school. The Rotary plays a vital role in funding these initiatives that provide support for students and families across the district.
During the visit, Rotary members, including President Tricia Massey, Member Rick Billingslea, and Membership Chair Vicki Jones, joined the Banks County Middle School Interact Club to help bag more than 100 food bags for students to take home. Director of Operations Mike Cleveland guided the group through several schools, showcasing how these pantries operate and the benefits they provide to students. Carol Williams, from Banks County Family Connections, also helped with the tour.
The tour included a stop at Banks County High School’s new Project Success program. Students in this program not only assist with stocking and maintaining the food pantries throughout the week, but they also shared details about their new initiative creating Banks County–branded t-shirts.
Banks County Schools sincerely thanks the Banks County Rotary Club for its ongoing support. Their partnership strengthens our schools and has a positive impact on students and families throughout the district.
