BCHS Volleyball Team Recognized at the February Board of Education Meeting

During their meeting in February, the Banks County Board of Education took some time to honor the Lady Leopard volleyball team for their outstanding achievements in developing the program. This season, the team marked a significant milestone by advancing to the Sweet Sixteen in the state tournament for the first time, an unprecedented achievement in the team's brief history. The team's roster, which includes Cate Loudermilk, Bryanna Hernandez, Kimber Meister, Shae Britt, Emmie Chitwood, Savannah Griffith, Shayna Vickery, Bacey Ausburn, Caitlin Bernier, Addison Hoard, Raeden Hunter, Lillee Parson, and Lola Pruitt, was commended for their performance. They concluded the season with an impressive 30-10 record and secured runner-up in the 2A

The meeting also spotlighted the accomplishments of other students, particularly those in the Future Farmers of America program, who garnered top honors at the state competition. High school assistant principal William Foster announced victories in Senior Forestry, Junior Wildlife, and Senior Wildlife, with Luke Johnson winning an area championship in EMC Electrical Wiring.

Additionally, important upcoming events for the primary school, including honors days, field trips, and special events like Kindergarten graduation in May, were highlighted by Dr. Mike Boyle.
