Banks County Schools recently participated in Read Across America, an annual event dedicated to enhancing students' enthusiasm for reading, which coincides with Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2nd. This year, the events were held on February 29th and March 1st at Banks County Primary and Banks County Elementary Schools. Supported by the National Education Association, the initiative aims to make reading a more enjoyable experience for students.
Several community members, including the Banks County Sheriff's Office, participated by reading to students. Students were also encouraged to dress up as a character from any Dr. Suess book to help celebrate the day.
