The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant will provide opportunities for students at Banks County Elementary School to taste fresh fruits and vegetables in the classroom. Each week, students will experience locally grown vegetables and fruit grown locally that will be brought to their classrooms.
‘This is a great opportunity to introduce fresh fruits and vegetables to our Banks County Elementary School students. Banks County is a community of farmers, and bringing that culture into classrooms is an excellent way to showcase what we offer”, said School Food and Nutrition Director Nicole Blalock.
