With the ongoing challenges students face and mental health concerns on the rise, Banks County Schools is committed to protecting and caring for our students. In doing so, we are looking to adopt the Signs of Suicide curriculum for our middle and high school students.
Signs of Suicide teaches students how to identify signs of depression and suicide in themselves and their peers, while training school professionals to recognize at-risk students and take appropriate action. Prior to adoption, stakeholders are being provided with a review period that will conclude on Friday, February 26, 2021. If you would like to schedule a time to review the curriculum, have questions or concerns, please contact Holly Koochel at (706)677-2224.
