Records of students who enrolled in a special education program for the disabled and whose birthdays are January 1, 2996 through December 31, 1996, are no longer needed for education planning purposes. These records may be needed by the student of parents of Social Security of other reasons. The system plans to destroy these records on September 1, 2019.
If you, as the student or parents of the student, desire copies of these records prior to destruction, contact the Department of Special Education at (706) 677-2224, ext. 1709. You will be required to produce identification or provide verification data. Please give at least 48 hours notice to have records ready for pick-up.
