ESSER

ARP ACT ESSER III Budget – September 6, 2023
As a part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act ESSER III, Banks County School System received $4,950,109 in federal funds. The school system is required to create a plan for spending the federal funds aligned to the allowable use of funds from the state and federal levels. All expenditures within the budget are subject to approval at the local and state levels. Banks County School System tentatively plans to use the ESSER III funds in the following ways:
 
  • 7 Early Intervention Teachers K-5 to work with small groups on literacy and numeracy skills;
  • K-12th Supplemental Learning - afterschool program teachers;
  • K-12th Technology resources- iPads, Chromebooks, and community hotspots;
  • Assistant Principal of Instruction at Banks County High School;
  • Director of Public Relations to work with all stakeholders: students, teachers, parents, and
    community members;
  • Equipment and installation of an instructional communication system by Audio
  • Enhancement in all classrooms in Banks County School System;
  • Continuity of Services- utility costs and cleaning service costs.
