Banks County Middle School to Host Summer Blast PDF Print E-mail

Banks County Middle School will host a free summer school program called “Summer Blast.” The program will start on Monday, June 3rd and continue through Friday, June 28th.  The program is opened to all students in grades 6-8.  Bus stops will be located throughout the county to transport students to and from the program.  Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be available at no cost to the participants.  The program will offer an opportunity for students needing to retake the CRCT if needed.  The program will provide both academic and social activities in a safe nurturing environment.  Several field trips have been scheduled to various points of interest throughout North Georgia and the metro area at no cost to the students.  The daily schedule will be:

7:30 – 8:00 breakfast

8:00 – 11:30 morning session

11:30 – 12:00 lunch

12:00 – 3:30 afternoon session

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION PLANNED


Registration for kindergarten classes at Banks County Primary School is scheduled to be held Thursday, April 18 (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and Friday, April 19 (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).

A parent must bring the following items to registration:


Their child’s certified birth certificate.

Child’s Social Security Card

Georgia Department of Human Services Immunization Form 3231

Certificate of Ear, Eye, and Dental Examination

Proof of Address – Property tax statement, a current electric, utility bill, land line telephone bill, or rental agreement

Photo ID of Parents

A proof of custody may be required


Children eligible for this enrollment must be five years on or before Sept. 1, 2013

"The success for Banks County in 2013 didn’t just happen on the biggest stage: The Leopards did a nice job of dominating from start to finish. Banks County won the Area 4-AAA title, placed first in a handful of prominent duals meets and finished with a 30-1 record in team meets. For his efforts, Hanley is The Times Wrestling Coach of the Year."
