Parents, tying shoes is a skill most children can and should learn by the time they are 5. It is a big deal around here, can you imagine a teacher stopping instruction 18 times during the day to tie everyone's shoes? It is also a safety issue, more children fall because they trip on their own laces or the student behind them in line accidentally steps on the hanging laces.
Teaching this skill isn't easy and both parents and students often get frustrated and give up or buy velcro shoes! So here is a very simple instructional video that might help you at home, just 10 minutes each evening should get the job done in a few days.
Thanks for your help with this!
