Announcements from Mrs. Reiselt

Hello everyone!

It is great to have you here with us at Banks County Primary School. I want to let you know a few things about our school and how we approach the serious job of educating your child.

~First, we made AYP again for the 2009-2010 school year, so we are once again considered a Title I School of Distinction and have been for eleven years running!

~We are a Learning Focused School.

~All of our teachers are considered highly qualified.

~We offer several support programs: Early Intervention Program (EIP) support teachers, ESOL teacher, full-time physical education and music teacher.

~Besides providing computers in each classroom, Banks County Primary School is equipped with two additional computer labs.

~Our school enjoys excellent support from the Central Office.

These are some of the things that make our school great, but what would really make a difference is YOU! Become an active part in your child's class, and if you can't (due to work or other responsibilities), ask your child's teacher how you can help from home. Any one of our teachers can give you some simple, but powerful, ideas to assist in your child's education.

We all have the same goal: for each student to graduate from Banks County High School and become a successful, productive citizen in our community!

School Hours

It is very important that the students be in their rooms by 8:00 a.m. since our day starts precisely at this time. We are still involved in instructional activities right up to dismissal time and will start releasing car riders at 2:50 through the gym doors. If the car rider line is too long for you, waiting until 3:10 p.m. is a great idea since there is hardly any line at all by that time! Now that the gym is air conditioned, the children don’t mind waiting for their ride! Teachers stay in the gym with the students until 3:20 p.m. so they are well supervised. Please understand that we are focused on making this school a safe and comfortable place for everyone so we can make the instructional time effective and show the rest of the state what we already know--Banks County students are the best in the state!
