Schools having earned this award must meet the following criteria, which are based on the results of the most recent two years of Criterion Referenced Competency Test (CRCT):

*AYP status for at least 3 consecutive years,
*> 35% of students exceed standards,
*be in th 98th percentile of greatest gains.
